ABOUT THE EXPERIANCE Create your own miniature Koi Pond Trinket Tray — a functional keepsake designed to hold rings, chains, loop earrings, nose pins, and tiny everyday treasures. This guided in-person workshop will take you through building and decorating a 6-inch round tray using a wood panel base and air dry clay, finished with a glossy resin top coat for a glass-like pond effect. You will work step by step through arranging your pond composition, sculpting textures, and creating lotus and leaf details using a selection of guided shaping tools and design templates available at the studio. Personalize your piece by choosing your preferred floral elements, layout, and color palette to make the tray uniquely yours. Once your clay details are complete, you will paint and finish your artwork before sealing it with resin for durability and shine. All materials are provided. If your artwork has dried sufficiently during the session, resin finishing may be completed the same day. Otherwise, your tray will remain at the studio for final resin application and curing and will be available for pickup approximately 4 days after the workshop. Please note that this is a handmade mixed-media workshop. Minor texture variations, small bubbles, natural unevenness, and subtle differences in resin finish are part of the handmade character of each piece. While guidance will be provided throughout, every tray will develop its own unique look and final results may vary slightly from samples shown.
