Description

ABOUT THE EXPERIANCE Paint your own decorative wooden cutting board inspired by the bold colors and storytelling traditions of Phad folk art — reimagined with a playful modern twist. In this guided one-day workshop, young artists (ages 8+) will transform a wooden cutting board into a display-worthy artwork while learning decorative painting techniques through a relaxed, step-by-step process. Participants can choose between two themed versions — “But First, Coffee” or the kid-friendly “Boba Before Drama” edition. Students will work through painting pre-drawn outlines, filling vibrant color blocks, creating clean borders, and adding small decorative details that make traditional folk-inspired art feel fresh and personal. The workshop focuses on color confidence, brush control, neat finishing, and enjoying the process of creating. All materials are included, including the wooden cutting board, paints, brushes, and prepared artwork template. No prior drawing or painting experience is required. This project is designed to be approachable for beginners while still creating a polished final result that children will be excited to display at home or gift to someone special. Please note that this is a decorative painted board and is intended for display use only. Small variations in brushwork, color placement, and finishing details are part of handmade art and make every piece unique. Students will leave with a completed artwork to take home the same day. Duration: One Day Project Recommended age: 8+ Skill level: Beginner friendly
